Emma Checking out all the Pretty Horseys
A few weeks ago we were treated to some AWESOME weather and I had NINE days off in a row! On thursday we got to spend the morning playing at the park with our mom's group. That afternoon Emma got to play with one of her favorite friends Payton. She gave Payton some last minute tips on Disney World. Sara discovered some horses that we went to visit while getting in a 2 mile walk (good for me). We stopped at one horse boarding area to entice 3 horses to come sample our treats (carrots, apples, & sugar cubes). I was laughing as Sara, Payton, & Emma were holding carrots yelling "HERE HORSEY". Whatever was growing in that grass was obviously holding their attention because they wanted NOTHING to do with us. So we kept trekking & found some other horses hidden back in a cul de sac. These horses are part of a summer daycamp near Sara's house. It took a few minutes but we had a couple of takers on the carrots. Emma suprised me & was feeding the horses carrots right away. Well, next thing we know this dark, furry horse comes & all the others scamper away. Sara tried to feed him & he spit it out & shook his head no. QUITE FUNNY. It took a few minutes for him to warm up to us & the other horses to come back over to us. I ended up having to distract him so that we could feed the other horses & take pics of Payton & Sara. Emma learned how to feed horses with an open palm & will now instruct you on the proper way. Towards the end, the wind picked up and the sky grew dark. IT was strange how in a matter of minutes we went from warm & sunny to cold and windy. CRAZY Texas Weather. It made for some gorgeous pictures. Sara is such an artist with the camera :) Emma is still talking about this day!
